There is now a course in
theology, taught in BSL and delivered by "Signs of
God" that trains Deaf people for Christian
ministry, and leads to a recognised
qualification.
The Church Colleges’ Certificate in Ministry
is offered by the University of Chester. It is believed to be the
first course providing training in ministry for Deaf people in their
own language.
It is equivalent to half of the first year of
a theology degree course, and can be used as a foundation for
further training.
Five students successfully completed the
first course in 2007. The next course will start in September 2008.
Further details are given in the leaflet. |
